CEO Announcement. Medicine & OTC supply limitations for certain products.

To our valued customers, fellow community members and friends,

Our thoughts are with those directly impacted by these unprecedented circumstances as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves. We understand the new reality we’re living in and the uncertainty it brings can be stressful. We at Wizard Pharmacy are here to help each and every one of you that visit our Pharmacies. However, we need your help to allow us to do this. Thank you to the many customers buying sensible quantities of medication. However, with the surge in panic buying we are following the recent Australian Government directive to;

  • Limit supply of certain prescriptions to 1 month’s supply.

  • Limit supply of certain over-the-counter medicines to a maximum of one unit per purchase.

We understand that all situations are not ‘black and white’. If you have any concerns, please speak to our Pharmacists who will empathetically assess individual circumstances. It’s everyone’s responsibility to ensure fair and reasonable distribution for all. With this in mind, I urge you all to please:

BE CALM Please be respectful of our teams and Pharmacists. Without them, we can’t help anyone.
BE RESPONSIBLE Buy only what you need. If any medication is out of stock, it’s only temporary.
LET’S BEAT THIS TOGETHER As a community we are strong, and we will see this through.

Our Pharmacists and teams are here to help. I ask that you respect their safety by not coming into our Pharmacies if you are showing:

  • Flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath.

  • Are in self-isolation.

  • Are awaiting COVID-19 test results.

CEO Announcement. COVID-19 Response.

To our valued customers, fellow community members and friends,

As the world navigates this unprecedented COVID-19 global pandemic, we want to assure our loyal customers and the community that we are doing everything we can and taking every necessary precaution to promote a safe environment for all. I am a Pharmacist with over 40 years’ experience and I’ve never witnessed anything like what we’re all going through presently.

We at Wizard Pharmacy are currently working on a strategy to ensure that, as a group of passionate and committed frontline healthcare professionals, all Wizard Pharmacies will be able to continue to support our local communities. We have implemented the following protocols in our Pharmacies to help reduce the risk of spread and keep them a safe space for all.

  • Our in-store teams are currently cleaning and disinfecting our Pharmacies multiple times a day.

  • All team members exhibiting any flu-like symptoms must remain at home and seek medical attention.

  • We are putting out daily communication to team members, so they remain armed with the most up to date information to share with you, including education on good hygiene practises and social distancing.

  • We are working towards increasing team resources at our Pharmacies to meet the increased demand of the community.

  • We will continue to update best practice protocols as the situation evolves.

The uncertainty around COVID-19 has seen extremely high and unpredictable demand for certain products and services. We understand this can be stressful but rest assured; we’re working hard with our teams and suppliers in an effort to meet this unusual demand. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Our Pharmacists will continue to be available to support you and your family during this time. However, we ask that you respect the safety of our team members and the safety of other customers by not coming into our Pharmacies if you are showing symptoms, are in self-isolation or are awaiting COVID-19 test results.  If you cannot make it into our Pharmacies, please call us on 1300 929 929 or contact us via the Wizard Pharmacy Facebook page.

Our online store continues to provide delivery and Click and Collect services, however, please understand that due to high demand for certain products, stock levels may be limited.

We recommend to effectively manage your medications you maintain a minimum of 30 days’ supply in case you need to self-isolate.

To make managing your medications easier we also recommend you consider downloading our medication management app, MedAdvisor. Visit your local Wizard Pharmacy or call us on 1300 929 929 for more information.
