Supervised Rapid Antigen Testing

Wizard Pharmacy is all about helping our customers. As part of this commitment, select Wizard Pharmacies are now offering supervised Rapid Antigen Testing. This in-store service is available to customers who are not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

A Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) is a quick and easy way to check if you may have COVID-19 and is an effective tool to screen for possible COVID-19 infection before the onset of symptoms. It is different to a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test and does not need to be processed in a laboratory. Booking a supervised RAT with your Wizard Pharmacy gives you a compliant certified result in a private and professional environment.

WHO IS SUITABLE FOR AN IN-STORE SUPERVISED RAT?

  • Adults with no COVID-19 symptoms
  • Children with no COVID-19 symptoms

Please note: Children ages 2 – 11 will have their test conducted /supervised by a parent or legal guardian & those 12 years or older is dependent on the test kit instruction.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

An in-store RAT appointment takes less than 10 minutes and provides certification of a negative result on the same day. Please allow up to 15 minutes for the results to develop.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Book your appointment online here.

  • Step 2

Visit your selected Wizard Pharmacy for your swab test. Your appointment should take under 15 minutes.

  • Step 3

Results can be emailed or a copy can be printed in-store. 

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST? 

Cost of the Rapid Antigen Test plus an additional $35 service fee. 

WHAT IF I HAVE COVID-19 SYMPTOMS?

This service is not suitable if you have COVID-19 symptoms, or if you think you may have COVID-19. If you have COVID-19 symptoms, take a PCR or RAT test as soon as possible and follow the WA/NT Health guidelines. Call the COVID-19 information helpline on WA 13 COVID (13 26843) or 1800 490 484 (NT).

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE POSITIVE FOR COVID-19?

If you receive a positive result, you will need to self-isolate immediately and remain in isolation for at least 7 days. Your Pharmacist will make sure you know what steps to take to care for yourself at home and how to register your positive test with WA Health so you can receive the care and support you need.

WHO WILL SEE MY TEST?

The results of your supervised RAT are confidential and will not be shared with any other parties. If you are confirmed to have COVID-19, it will be up to you to register your positive test with WA Health as soon as possible.

TRAVELLING OVERSEAS?

Proof of a negative COVID-19 test result is required by some airlines prior to travel and is an entry requirement of many international destinations. Before booking your supervised RAT with your Wizard Pharmacy, check if a certified negative RAT result meets the requirements of the country you are travelling to and the airline you are travelling with. GETTING READY FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please do not book or attend your supervised RAT appointment:

  • if you are feeling unwell with fever, cough, runny nose or other symptoms that could be from COVID-19
  • if you are waiting for COVID-19 test results, or have tested positive for COVID-19
  • if you are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, or
  • if you are in quarantine

Yes, please bring a form of photo ID with you when you have your test.
